It was a merry moment for well known producer of 35 films, 160 films distributor and 80 theatres controller MN Kumar on Friday evening at Gandhi Bhavan auditorium.

MN Kumar, wife Smt Nagarathna were felicitated with silver plate, garland, shawl and fruit basket for progress in profession by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

It was photo exhibition of MN Kumar inauguration by KFCC President Thomas D Souza. Later in the power married ‘Belli Hejje’ the well wishers of MN Kumar Thomas D Souza, SV Rajendra Singh Babu, Yogaraj Bhat, Indrajith Lankesh, Sa Ra Govindu, actor Doddanna, Ashok recalled the services of MN Kumar in their short address.

A documentary on the life sketch of MN Kumar was screened. MN Kumar exchanged garland with his wife and late sat for one hour discussion with veteran journalist Gangadhara Mudaliar.

Registrar of KCA welcomed the gathering at the 52 ‘Belli Hejje’ of MN Kumar. KCA President SV Rajendra Singh Babu went on a flash back to recount growth of some of the finest film makers from scratch.

KCA in the coming months is celebrating ‘Belli Hejje’ at the place of birth of artists and technicians. Dr Shivarajakumar in Chamarajanagara, Doddanna in Bhadravathi etc are in the mind of SV Rajendra Singh Babu.
